Yeah, Ferris said it right. Sometimes I get so caught up in doing what I’m supposed to be doing that I miss out on the whole reason I was doing it. I’m often times like Cameron… he did so many awesome things: a fancy lunch, trip to the museum, cubs game, and much more…yet at the end of the day, when asked what he had seen, he said “nothing good.”
God is doing awesome things right in front of me everyday and I miss so many of them. God is teaching me to take the time to stop, look at what He is doing, and listen for what He is trying to teach me. “Wise men and women are always learning, always listening for fresh insights” (Proverbs 18:15).
I am going to stop and look around once in awhile so I don’t miss out on anything Jesus is doing today!
